Bed and Breakfast
Bantry House & Garden has six sensitively and beautifully restored guest rooms in the East wing of the house. Each ensuite bedroom has a US queen-sized bed and a beautiful view over the spectacular garden. B&B guests have complimentary access to the main showrooms in the house and garden. In the evenings, when the house is closed, they can experience its unique atmosphere by relaxing in front of the library’s roaring open fire.
Guests also can play a game of billiards or snooker on the original 19th-century billiard table, or sit in the cosy snug with a drink from the honesty bar. Free Wi-Fi is available in all main areas including the library.
Breakfast, served with fine old cutlery and on family-crested china, is a traditional cooked-to-order affair (traditional Irish breakfast, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, for example) complemented by freshly made scones and a continental buffet of fruit salad, local cheeses, and cured meats. We offer our guests a small room service menu during the day, which can be served in your room, by a fire downstairs, or even out in the garden. We do not serve dinner. However a member of staff will happily recommend and make a reservation for you in one of the restaurants in Bantry town.
A guided tour of the house with Sophie Shelswell-White, special extras on arrival or afternoon tea can be arranged by request for an additional fee. Please see our Special Offers page for current offers.
The Shelswell-White family and staff will be delighted to assist you with any further requests you may have.
