Bantry House & Garden is situated just outside Bantry, a picturesque fishing and market town overlooking Bantry Bay about 90 minutes’ drive from Cork City.  Bantry House is located on the N71 between Kinsale and Killarney, a scenic route long popular with visitors to Ireland.  This area of Ireland is rugged, remote, and beautiful, with traditional Irish villages dotted along the coastline. Bantry is the gateway to the Sheep’s Head Peninsula, while the Mizen and Beara peninsulas offer unique day trips. Among the many activities available locally are hiking, golfing, fishing, and sailing.
West Cork is home to many excellent artisan food producers, whose products can be tasted every Friday at the market in Bantry.  Fresh local produce is also available in the pubs and restaurants, including the Bantry House Tearoom.
